OKUMC’s Disaster Response

One of the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference, Office of Mission ministries, is Disaster Response (OKUMC-DR). This ministry focuses on four aspects of a disaster; Preparation,ResponseRecovery and Mitigation.

OKUMC-DR works in cooperation with other faith-based organizations as well as humanitarian and governmental agencies.  OKUMC-DR is a part of the Oklahoma VOAD and National VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster).  These relationships are vital in bringing resources and the community together.
